Quality furnishings lavish the property throughout, as you wind your way around the narrow Victorian corridors to either your room, or one of the small atrium styled lounge areas, leading onto a courtyard (a rare find for London) with tables and chairs (try breakfast out here). Furnishings are traditional, tasteful and very good quality. Many bedrooms have had authentic fireplaces uncovered during restoration, which add a real centrepiece to many rooms, and beds look sumptuous and inviting. Location is very good, a short walk to theatres, bars and fabulous restaurants. On busy Gower Street, but noise shouldn’t be a problem as double-glazing is very good. Light sleepers should request a rear facing room or higher floor, for your own piece of mind. Remember, if you want to be in the middle of London, it's going to be a little busier anyway. |
